Drug and Alcohol Essentials

This workshop has been designed to enhance the capacity of front-line staff in Employment Services to support individuals with addiction and substance use issues. The workshop focuses on increasing participants understanding of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Sector, addressing bias and stigma, creating case management plans, and referring clients to appropriate services and jobs

Applied Motivational Interviewing

This immersive workshop empowers front-line staff with Motivational Interviewing skills and strategies to overcome client barriers, evoke intrinsic motivation, and facilitate lasting employment outcomes

Mental Health Essentials

This workshop equips Employment Services practitioners with evidence-based strategies and practical exercises to effectively work with job seekers who have mental health challenges, emphasizing the need for a multi- dimensional approach and tailored case management plans that focus on employment outcomes

Effective Strategies for Managing Challenging Behaviours

Challenging behaviors in employment services can hinder service delivery
and outcomes. This workshop provides practitioners with skills to assess and manage the risks of disruptive, aggressive, or non-compliant behaviors,
while practicing sensitivity and empathy. This training teaches conflict negotiation, de-escalation techniques, and personal safety strategies.

Supporting Participants with Complex Needs

This workshop will provide practioners with the knowledge and skills to
assess participant conditions and develop effective interventions, including identifying negative thinking patterns, using participant goals to motivate change, and making appropriate referrals to other support services. A trauma-informed approach to working with participants will also be covered.

Structuring an Effective and Outcome Based Appointment

Effective and targeted appointments are crucial in achieving successful
outcomes in Employment Services, as they enable practitioners to understand participant needs and goals. This workshop focuses on evidence-based strategies and techniques to develop tailored plans and increase participant engagement and satisfaction
